NARS Blush Extravaganza
Wouldn't it be great if you could wake up in the morning and there were just endless black boxes all over your living room? A cosmetic Christmas! Since that rarely never happens to me in real life, I made my own bouquet of blushes. OOOoooOOOoooOOO.

I have a serious NARS obsession and their blushes are simply amazing. There are so many colors, finishes, blends... They are almost as hypnotic as staring at The Rock. Mmmmm. That's right.

Ok, back to blush. I guess.

Today we'll be looking at New Order, Oasis, Orgasm, Taos, and the Albatross/Torrid duo.

First up, the Albatross/Torrid duo.

Albatross is a beautiful highlighting blush powder. I love to brush this onto my upper cheekbones, the bridge of my nose and above the brows, as well as a little on the chin. Sometimes under the brows as a highlighter to blend down into my shadow. It's a kind of iridescent, sheer golden color. The gold is very subtle and primarily gives a healthy glow to wherever you put it.

Torrid is a bold, coral color with the lightest of shimmer. It's gorgeous on many skin types, but if you're fair skinned just remember that a little will go a long, LONG way.

New Order is labelled as a highlighting blush and has lots and lots of shimmer and sparkle in it. A very soft pink, depending on your skin color this may or may not show up well under the sparkle. I enjoy using this one when I am going for a night out with the girls or something of the sort. A little too shimmery for everyday use, and the glitter tends to wander a bit. This is more of a fun-time item.

Oasis is a "sparkling pink champagne". Oasis, for me, is like a darker, evening version of Orgasm. It can be a tad too dark for some looks, but for a smokey eye and passive lips look, this is amazing.

And now, the quintessential blush for many a lady (or man!) is..... DRUMROLL.... ORGASM! I'll have what she's having? You betcha.

This Orgasm is a bit used, I know. Testimony to how awesome it is. There is never a bad time for Orgasm. A nice, soft, natural pinky peach color, there is also a nice amount of shimmer in this blush that gives a beautiful glow. It looks good on just about everyone, no matter what your skin color. This swatch does not do it justice. Go to a NARS counter and try some on your cheeks. It looks amazing.

Last, but not least, my newest NARS purchase. Taos!

NARS describes this color as "desert rose with shimmer". Apparently I have a thing for sparkly things. Tee-hee! This is the darkest of the colors, and while I have not yet had a chance to try this on myself I have been reading that this is gorgeous for women with darker skin tones. Once again, a little goes a long, LOOOOOONG way. Be frugal with colors this bold if your skin is not very dark. Clowns are cute, but not that cute. lol

Aaaaand, that is what Taos looks like on my mole. Sexy, eh?
And now, all but Albatross, together, best friends.

No flash:

Each blush is 0.16oz and can be purchased at select department store counters, Sephora and the NARS website for $27 (the duo is $39). It's expensive, I know, but these guys last forever and ever. Maybe one of these days I will actually try a NARS blush without shimmer! SPARKLIES!!!!!
